OSHA Delays Enforcing Crystalline Silica Standard in Construction

OSHA is delaying enforcement of the crystalline silica standard that applies to the construction industry to conduct additional outreach and provide educational materials and guidance for employers. Originally scheduled to begin June 23, 2017, enforcement will now begin Sept. 23, 2017.
President Trump Axes Volks Recordkeeping Rule

President Trump signed H.J. Res 83 into law, blocking the so-called Volks rule that would have allowed OSHA to cite employers for failures to record or for misrecording workplace injuries or illnesses that occurred up to 5 years prior to when the citation is written among other provisions.
